Find the beauty in everything, everywhere

It cannot be stressed enough how important it is to appreciate everything good in life in order to live a happy life. Our thoughts and feelings define whether we live a happy life or not. How many negative thoughts do you have in a day? How many times are you complaining in a day? How do you feel in general?

This post is about finding the bright side, about the importance of being grateful and positivity in life, because that is the only way to happiness. It doesn’t matter if you have everything you need at this moment or if you don’t, it doesn’t matter if you have a lot of money or if you don’t, what matters is your attitude towards life.

If you are surrounded by negative people who are complaining all the time and cannot appreciate anything, then most probably you are going to develop a similar attitude. These people attract even more negativity into their life with this attitude, and the negativity doesn’t stop, because they continue to look for the negative and they continue to experience the negative.

If you have the intention to change your life, try to set aside some time for yourself and look at your thoughts. How many negative thoughts do you have in a day? Your thoughts are defining what you experience in life. Your thoughts are creating your reality. Is it time for a change?

If you would like to change what you experience in life, then start being grateful and appreciate the good. Do not complain about what is not working, instead, concentrate on what is working well in your life. The more you are grateful, the more of the things you can be grateful about you will attract.

You should regularly practice expressing your gratitude in order to change things around in your life. If you need some guidance, this post might be helpful: http://noemifairy.com/2012/07/18/how-to-write-an-appreciation-journal/.

I thought I would share this quote with you all, because it might help someone out there to get on with their life, to remember to look for the positive or to practice more positivity in their life in general.

Over the years, I have been learning to look for the positive aspects in all situations. What I have learnt is, no matter how hard your current situation is, you can always find positive aspects in it, which will help you move towards a better future.

Many times I find myself more positive in certain situations than other people are around me, and this gives me the chance to remind these people – whether they are colleagues, friends or family – to always look at the bright side of life, learn the lesson from the situation and move on .

I hope you have found this little reminder helpful.

Your life is what you make it to be!

Your life is what you make it to be!

Any of us who reads about the law of attraction or other spiritual/psychological topics knows that our thoughts have more power than we think. Our thoughts actually have a huge impact on our life. Whatever we think about, we create it. The way we think about something will define our emotions about it. People in the same situation can be either happy or sad, depending on how they are responding to it. The way we think can affect our relationships, our career, our health, our success or our happiness.

Many people do not realise this, and they just follow the crowd. They just follow the patterns that their family or friends have taught them. It seems like they are following something called ‘life’ blindly, without ever using their common sense or questioning those limiting beliefs that impacted their way of thinking.

As usual, I took the inspiration for this post from a real life experience. One guy I met seemed to be so limiting and negative and blind in his way of thinking that I have to admit, he pulled me down emotionally. I talked with him only out of politeness, but I just do not like his way of thinking. I am not anyone to tell him how to think, and he did not ask me for any advice regarding this, so I can only avoid talking to people like him.

This experience, however, reminded me again on the importance of our thinking habits. I have touched this topic many times in my previous posts, and I mentioned that in every situation I am always looking for the positive, I appreciate what I can, I am trying to be grateful for what I can be, etc. We are all humans though, and we are not perfect, so we always have a lesson to learn and a reminder can be very helpful to become the happier and more successful person we want to be.

Let’s appreciate this insight and continue to create positive thoughts and positive life experiences!

Change your perceptions for a happier life!

The best way to live our life is being grateful for what we have and constantly trying to live with a positive attitude. I have just covered this topic in a recent blog post, but I want to expand it more with my personal experience.

Everyone has periods in their life when it is hard to stay positive or happy. Life has its ups and downs, it is natural, we cannot change that. However, we can try to spend the hard times in a smart way, by counting our blessings and taking baby steps towards our dreams. Sometimes the hardest times in life become the most valuable, as we acquire new skills, we make new connections, we become stronger; and all these experiences will help us on our way to achieve future goals.

If you have already “survived” a hard period in your life, you know how much stronger it made you, and you know that future challenges are going to be easier to face.

It is all about our perceptions. We get what we think. Our perceptions will define how we feel, whether a certain situation makes us happy or hopeful, or sad and depressed.

We should always be able to find the positive aspects in a situation: like how it is serving us, what we are learning through the process, what kind of connections we are making with other people, etc. You may be in  a hard situation, but you are probably getting something very valuable out of it, just by holding on! Make the best of it you can, and leave the problematic situation when you are ready to move on.

The latest hard experience in my personal life helped me immensely on various levels. I do not find everything so hard anymore, because I can compare it to what I had to go through before, and I am able to find something to appreciate in all situations. With this positive attitude, I can get closer and closer to all my dreams.

The smart way to go through hard times is appreciating what you already have and taking baby steps to get closer to your goals. Don’t be afraid to take action, the only thing you will regret later is wasting your time. Take whatever step you can take, and the next one will reveal itself on the way.

The key during the process is staying positive and appreciative of what you have already achieved. Take every day as a gift, take every friend and helping person as a gift, take every step along the way as a gift. Express your gratitude, and it will multiply.

I appreciate all of you reading this post and wish you happiness and successful manifestations!

Cultivate a positive attitude!

I have just been wondering again about the importance of a positive attitude in all situations in life.

Wherever you are, whatever you do at this moment, your attitude will define how you feel.

People can be happy or sad in the same place in the same situation. The difference is in their attitude.

Of course, there are situations from which you have to move on if it doesn’t make you happy anymore. You either get used to a situation by finding the good aspects in it, or you move on.

Finding positive things in the hardest situations will probably be the most rewarding for your future. The lesson is, whatever you choose, always go with a positive attitude. It may be hard to hold on in a difficult situation, but it may provide you with such gifts that you will be forever thankful that you decided to stay strong and hold on. However, if you choose to move in another direction, you have to do it with full belief, and again, with a positive attitude.

Starting new projects is not easy, but you can always be grateful for what you have already achieved and for the people who are going to help you on the way. By expressing your gratitude and appreciation, you are reinforcing what you want to get more of. Just trust the process, believe that everything will work out for your highest good, and so it shall be.

If you are facing a new challenge right now, remember to stay positive and appreciate every little step that you take towards success and happiness.

A good day to create

Today is a special day! According to the Tibetan Buddhist calendar, on this day (25th May 2013) the effects of positive and negative actions are multiplied by 10 million times. It is a good opportunity for us to eliminate the negative and reinforce the positive in our life.

I am not sure if this really works, but every day is a good day to release the negative and increase the positive in your life, so let’s give it a try.

It is a good time for me as well to finally sit down and do some “work” on my life. Currently, I do have some worries and negative thoughts concerning the near future I wish to create. So as a first step, I will try to get rid of these.

What will I do exactly?

I will make a long long list of positive aspects and positive thoughts related to the subject that is the problem area. I will write a list as long that I cannot think about anything else, and by that time, I will feel so good that I forget the negative thoughts. I will try to keep up this practice for the following days, just by adding a few more sentences each day, to keep my thoughts centered on the positive.

What I am trying to achieve with this is to get positive emotions instead of the negative.

Remember, your present thoughts and emotions create your future.

And the most important is to feel good! If you feel good, you don’t worry about what you will create in your future, you just enjoy the now and everything else comes naturally.

So I have eliminated the negative, now I will imagine how I would like my future to be. Just playing with the thoughts. No fears, no worries, no limits. Imagination is key in creation. Without imagination, creation is not possible. You just have to use it in a positive way.

As the practice of writing down ideas works really well for me, I will write down positive emotions and thoughts of how I would like my future to be. Similarly, I will try to keep adding more and more ideas later, just to keep up the same emotions.

Law of attraction says that the Universe doesn’t know whether your emotions are based on the reality you are living or you are just imagining, therefore the Universe is going to match your reality to your dominant emotions whether you want it or not.

If you practise it well enough, then one day you will realise that you are living the reality you have imagined! Awesome, isn’t it?!

It is all about our attitude

Recently through my work experience, I had the chance to observe how people behave and how it makes them upset or happy. They were exactly in the same situation, their happiness all depended on their choice or attitude.

Usually I don’t share too much personal information on my blog, but for the sake of this post I have to share that I am currently working on a cruise ship, that is why I am  having a very busy life.

When our last cruise started, the ship was not able to dock on time due to weather conditions.  The guests who had to leave were 8 hours late, and also the new arrivals had to embark 8 hours later.

This inconvenience made some people upset, while some people were grateful that they were fed for free when they had to stay longer, and most of the new arrivals were happy that they could finally embark the ship.

Weather conditions are in no way the company’s fault, safety is first, but some people are only able to blame other people for some inconvenience, and they do not see the big picture. They also forget that the ship’s staff is working extra hours only for them.

Let me give you 2 examples of people’s attitude.

During my duties I met two ladies who were upset about being late, they literally attacked me that their room key is not working after all this long day, and I have to fix that straightaway. I told them I cannot fix it if it is not working, but I can ask for help. Just in case I checked the key if it is really not working, and guess what? It WORKED! These two ladies wanted to find fault in everything, and they spoilt their holiday for themselves.

On the other hand, I saw one black guy with rasta hair who embarked the ship dancing, having fun, looking forward to his holiday. Later on, I met him again, he was talking on the phone, telling somebody that he decided to have a great holiday no matter what, no matter if others are complaining, it is only about one’s choice. Then he asked me where he can find a bar, because he wants to have more fun!

Whatever situation we are in life, our happiness depends only on our attitude.

Follow the rasta guy’s attitude and have fun!
