Dare to walk away if you need to!

 

Change in life is completely natural, and sometimes we need to make changes in our life to keep up with our personal growth.

Many people seem to be stuck in mentally or physically unhealthy situations, but in fact their life is not going to change until they make the decision in their mind that they want to change their circumstances and take at least the first step towards something different.

We all have an inner guidance that tells us whether a situation feels right or not, whether we are happy with how our life is going or not. We should always listen to this inner guidance and not what our friends, colleagues, family or media and advertisements say.

If you need help in following the right path, you can always turn to a coach, a consultant or psychotherapist. But you can also take some baby steps by yourself.  For example, you can read self-help books or find related forums online. If you want to meet like-minded people, you have to look for the company of people that are interested in the same things as you are. If you want to change your career, you should start getting more information about the kind of job you want to do. If you feel the need to move somewhere else, start playing with the idea and think where you want to move and why, what kind of house and environment you want to live in.

 

 

These changes are normal and natural, and we should not be ashamed to make changes in our life just because somebody does not approve what we want to do. That is their path and not ours.

Sometimes we have to respect ourself enough to walk away from people and situations that don’t serve us and don’t make us happy anymore.

Don’t forget to make a life!

 

This is a reminder to all of us to chill out and relax a bit,  because we can get so caught up in our daily jobs that what we forget is to live and enjoy life.

I see so many people stressed out in their daily jobs, and sometimes they even hurt themselves on a mental or physical level. Sometimes I feel the same, and that is when I am thinking: ‘Is it really worth it? It is just a job!!’

I suggest you to calm down and enjoy what you can right now in your life. Certain times of your life will never come back again, so you have to enjoy them NOW! If you are a university student, enjoy studying and life right now. If you are a young couple with no kids, enjoy your freedom to do whatever you want to do right now. If you have a new born baby or small child, in no time the next thing you see is that they are grown up, so enjoy those times right now. If you don’t have a family to look after at the moment, enjoy your independence and invest your time in worthwhile activities and experiences.

Don’t let the years of your life rush away just because of a job and the stress of making a living. Concentrate on the things you like, pursue your hobbies and experience things that make you happy.

Afterall, happiness and health is the most important in life, everything else comes after.

“Man surprised me most about humanity. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
