Surround yourself with people who lift you higher

As Jim Rohn says: “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

Take a look at the people you spend most of your time with and ask yourself some questions. Are they positive and supporting enough? Or are they limiting you in any way? Do they constantly complain about things and never believe in your aspirations? Because if you find that they are not supporting you enough, it is time to look for new friends who have similar interests and ambitions to you.

I have found this particularly important in my life. Sometimes it was very difficult to find people who would understand my dreams, and the problem of questioning and doubting did not even occur in conversations. I believe it is crucially important to surround yourself with the right people, both for your emotional/mental health and also for your greater career aspirations and success.

I always really appreciated when I met people who had the same interests and desires as me. It felt like home! You suddenly gain a huge amount of self-esteem and belief. Finally you believe wholeheartedly that anything is possible you set your mind to. And you can even share the journey with others!

Sometimes it is a bit of a struggle to find these people and to just get out of the negative circles.

Think about your interests and hobbies, go to your local club, take lessons in yoga/dance/music/whatever you like, and you will find the people you need. For your career, visit job interviews even if you feel like you are not ready for that dream job. You will gain experience, get the vibes, hear stories from other people, learn from them – you can’t loose anything! But never waste your time on those who constantly make you feel down, doubtful or negative.
